What Customers Say About LG Rumor LG260 Phone, Black (Sprint):

When I tried it a second time it ripped out the thing in the phone and destroyed my charger. That one was fine until one day it just wouldn't charge.

I have had three of these phones because they just keep breaking. My sister bought this phone for me and I have had a rumor for a little over a year now.

I took it to the store and was offered a referbished one. The first one was kinda my fault but the other two just spontaneously destroyed.

The second one, the screen went static and I couldn't use the screen and after a few days of static blob mess the screen went white and nothing could be done. I tried it with mine and someone elses cord and it didn't work.

All in all do not buy this phone without a warrenty.

I have had this phone since july 2008. The third phone keeps shutting off when the battery is fully charged. since then i have had to get 3 new phones. the first 2 would fade out when i tried to type with it and got to the point where the screen would go black. It doesnt make any sound when it shuts off so i have no idea if its on or not until i check. i also get texted messages and voice mails anywhere between 2 and 24 hours late.stay away

He did not drop it. We sent this phone back to Samsung as it was still under the 1 year warranty. The only con I can think of is that the LG Rumor does not support the faster internet-accessing protocol EVDO -->What is with the Samsung's LCD screens breaking so often. When my husband and I decided to upgrade, I went with the LG Rumor and he went with the Samsung Rant. So instead of paying full price to replace the blackjack he just bought a iPhone at the Apple store for 199 instead.

My husband did not drop the phone, the LCD just has this big black spot and the rest of the screen was light up in white and rainbow colors. For those debating between a LG Rumor or a Samsung Rant, I've decided to also post my review on the Rant here. He says don't even bother trying to fight with the service folks. Maybe if they wore looser pants or lost a few pounds. Now they want $85 to fix the LCD.

He talked to managers and supervisors there and they all told him he should not have his phone in his pant pocket as that would add pressure to the phone and breaks the LCD. hehe. Surprisingly even though the Samsung Rant is heavier and sturdier in appearance the LCD screen of the Rant broke a few months into use. This is very bizzare to me. There are no scratches and the screen was not cracked so I don't understand why we have to pay to get it fixed.

My coworker had the same situation with a Samsung Blackjack and the LCD screen gave out while it was still under the 1 year warranty. Thank God I picked the Rumor, even though it looks cheaper the darn thing has lasted through plenty of drops to the hard pavement, whereas my husband and coworker broke their Samsung Rant and Blackjack by sticking the darn phones in their pant pockets. but in all seriousness I'm pissed that I have to pay for the replacement of an LCD on the Rant when it is under warranty and it was not dropped on the ground.

I love this phone and it makes texting so much easier. For about 6 months, I had the free Razr I got when we signed the contract, but I finally got fed up with it and bought myself a Rumor on ebay. The Razr was my first actual phone and I didn't realize I would be texting so much. Battery life is pretty good with the amount of texting I do.The only thing is that I've heard the LCD screen cracks a little more easily than other phones, but mine hasn't cracked. (Actually, I bought two partially-working phones-one with a cracked screen and another with a bad motherboard- and worked my magic to form one working Rumor, which was about half the price of buying 1 working one off of ebay)

Alot of reviewers complained about the ring tone not being loud enough or the speaker volume not being loud enough. I originally purchased this phone online from Sprint and the phone that I received in the mail was defective and I had to return it to exchange the defective one for a working one. But once I got the working one I was pretty happy. Well, those people must be deaf cuz the volume on this phone is loud. (>~
